We sure hope so. We purposely created a free plan to allow both websites and developers to test the complete feature-set of our platform, while allowing startups and smaller companies to utilize our platform at no cost.
Will SiteApps affect my site performance? Tell us a little about your infrastructure.
How long does it take for the changes I updated in the interface to occur on my website?
App configuration updates should appear on your site in under 10 minutes.
Is there a way I can check the current status of SiteApps service quality?
We treat performance very seriously. We understand that the SiteApps tag will be installed on all pages of your site, and we want to guarantee the best experience for your users. We want to be transparent, and toward that end we offer a third-party audit and ongoing monitoring of the response times for our SiteApps tag-serving network. This report documents and monitors response times from various locations around the world.
APPS AND MARKETPLACE
What's an "deploy"?
An "deploy" is an instance of an app that is actively running on your website. Each account type is authorized to implement a specific number of deploys. Free accounts are authorized for up to two "deploys" at once. If you'd like to add additional deploys to your site, please consider upgrading your account type.
Also, please note: SiteApps allows you to deploy more than one concurrent implementation of a single app. You can apply different parameters and URL restrictions to create different "versions" of the same basic app, executing it in different ways on different pages of your website (or to different audiences). In such cases, each "version" of the app running on your website counts as a single deploy installation.
Why do some apps have external dependencies?
While we do our best to review and police the contents of apps within our marketplace, we strongly recommend that you learn more about any external dependencies included within an app before you implement it.
What is the revenue sharing model for paid apps?
We want developers to create spectacular apps and make mad money from them. We will provide the 70-30% market standard cut, leaving over two-thirds of the revenue for the developers.
What's this "Enable JQuery" checkbox on the app development screen?
SiteApps allows developers to automatically select if they want the jQuery library loaded for use in functions within their apps. We created an automatic script that checks to see if JQuery is loaded; in cases where it's not, we'll load it before you app is summoned. Please use this feature with caution.
