Developer Payment and Tax Information
How much will I receive from sales of my Application(s)?
SITEAPPS will pay you 70% of the advertised Application price minus applicable taxes and subject to tax analysis. Please refer to the Tax Information section below.
How will I receive my payments?
In the SITEAPPS Platform, all payments are made to the Developer's registered Paypal account. If you don't have one please visit https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_registration-run to create a new account.
It's your responsibility to provide a valid Paypal account. Paypal fees and exchange rates varies for each country and are supported by the Developer.
Can SITEAPPS hold my payments?
Your SITEAPPS payments may be held for any of the following common reasons:
* You haven't submitted your tax information.
Depending on the country of your payment address, SITEAPPS may require you to provide certain tax information.
* End-user and/or Merchant account provider is disputing the transaction.
You may also notice a payment hold for a variety of less common payment-related issues. If your payments are being held, you will see a notice on your account overview. Clicking on any links in the alert will direct you to the action you need to take to resolve the issue and be eligible for payment.
Once you've completed all required actions, these holds will be automatically removed. Keep in mind that you'll need to submit all payment information by the 15th of any month in order to be eligible for that month's payment cycle.
When will I get a payment?
In the SITEAPPS Platform, you're paid when your earnings reach the payment threshold of USD 250.00, as long as there are no holds on your account, and you're in compliance with our policies.
However, we don't send you the money at the exact moment the zeroes roll over. First, we have to validate your earnings for accuracy -- a process that takes place the first week of every month on the previous month's earnings. Then, we send payments a couple of weeks later..
So if your earnings reach the payment threshold in February, we'll send you a payment before the end of April.
If your account balance hasn't reached the payment threshold at the end of the month, we'll roll your earnings over to the following month, until the payment threshold is reached. Balances include your total combined earnings for all SITEAPPS Platform Applications.
Please note that if a Developer's account is found to be in violation of our Terms and Conditions or policies, we may at any time withhold payment (beginning from when SITEAPPS initiates its investigation of potential violations), deduct earnings from the Developer's account, and/or refund End-Users . In addition, if a Developer is past due on any payment to SITEAPPS in connection with the SITEAPPS Platform, we reserve the right to withhold payment until all outstanding payments have been made. For a description of payment terms, please refer to the SITEAPPS "Developer Agreement" http://siteapps.com/site/terms/3.
Are there tax requirements for participation in SITEAPPS Platform?
If you're approved to participate in SITEAPPS Platform, we may be required to collect certain information from you for tax purposes, depending on your country of residence. For U.S. payees, this includes U.S. tax I.D. numbers or Social Security numbers.
Once you're approved, you can find out the tax requirements that apply to you by visiting the Tax Information page in your account. If you're already approved, go to your Tax Information page now
Why can't I add or edit my tax information?
According to our policy, we will not pay out an account if its unpaid earnings are less than a certain threshold. Since we don't ever issue payments for less than $250 or the local equivalent, we don't allow Developers to provide their tax information until their earnings have reached this amount.
Once your earnings reach the threshold, you'll be able to enter your tax information.
I'm not a U.S. taxpayer. What tax information do I need to submit?
All SITEAPPS Platform Developers are required to submit tax information. If you don't live in the United States and don't believe you need to pay U.S. taxes, please review our description of having U.S. Activities. Then, complete the tax wizard in your account to confirm this is the case.
If you do have U.S. activities, you'll need to submit taxes as a foreign individual, including the following information:
* U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). If you don't have one, you can find information for obtaining one at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website.
* Description of personal services you are providing.
* Sufficient facts to justify the exemption from withholding claimed.
You can submit these details through the tax wizard in your SITEAPPS Platform account.
Can you give me tax advice?
Unfortunately, we're unable to provide any tax advice or indicate which form is applicable for your situation.
To help you select forms that are appropriate for your particular situation, we've provided a tax wizard on your account's Tax information page. If this doesn't help, please consult your tax advisor or the IRS for tax advice.
Please note that the tax information collection interface and any tax-related information provided by SITEAPPS is not intended as and should not be construed as legal, tax, or investment advice. You should always consult your tax advisor to help answer specific questions regarding how tax laws apply to you and/or your business. The tax summary we have provided is necessarily incomplete, and the tax laws and regulations are subject to change. Therefore, SITEAPPS does not guarantee and is not liable for the accuracy or completeness of any tax information provided, or any results or outcome as a result of the use of this information.
Which tax form should I fill out?
Unfortunately, we're unable to indicate which form is applicable for you, as we're unable to provide tax advice.
However, we have provided a tax wizard within your account, which will help guide you to the form that's appropriate to your particular situation. You can find it on the Tax Information page. If the wizard doesn't help, please consult your tax advisor or the IRS for tax advice. If your country has additional tax requirements, you might also want to contact your local tax authorities for this information.
How do I submit my tax information to SITEAPPS?
If you are required to provide your tax information to SITEAPPS, you can do so within your SITEAPPS Platform account on the Tax Information page, under the My Account tab.
On this page you'll find an easy-to-use interface that will help you to select the appropriate form for your tax situation. All of the forms are available to submit online, and instructions for submitting any other forms offline are also provided.
Please be aware that not all Developers are required to provide tax information. In addition, you'll only be able to add or edit your tax information once your earnings have reached the tax threshold. The Tax Information page in your account will only enable you to submit tax information when it's appropriate for you to do so.
Will I have to pay taxes on my SITEAPPS Platform earnings?
You may have to pay taxes on your SITEAPPS Platform earnings. It is your responsibility to understand and adhere to the appropriate tax rules, and SITEAPPS is unable to provide you with tax advice.
SITEAPPS is required by United States tax laws to collect certain tax-related information from some publishers. If you are required to provide tax information, details will be available on the Tax Information page in your account. Go to your Tax Information page now
Please review these resources for additional information about tax regulations:
* For general information about SITEAPPS Platform and taxes, please visit our Tax Information Page.
* For specific information regarding U.S. tax requirements, please visit the IRS website.
* Any tax-related information provided by SITEAPPS is not intended as and should not be construed as legal, tax or investment advice. For tax advice or more technical questions about how tax laws apply to you, please consult your tax advisor.
Do you withhold taxes?
We rarely withhold United States federal tax from SITEAPPS payments. However, we may be required to withhold up to 30% from Developers in these situations:
* if you are subject to backup withholding as described on Form W-9
* if you do not fill in Section 10 on Form W-8BEN with a treaty number and 0%, and do not provide a United States TIN in Part 1 Box 6
* if you do not claim complete exemption in Section 12 of Form 8233
* if the tax information entered on your tax form is found to be incorrect or inaccurate
If you've had earnings withheld from a payment, it's because our records indicated that you were subject to tax withholding at the time of payment. In this case, you'll see a line item for tax withholding on the Payments page of your account.
If you don't believe that you're subject to tax withholding, please update the tax information in your account. Once you update your information to indicate that you're not subject to withholding, we won't withhold any portion of your SITEAPPS Platform earnings going forward.
Please note that we're unable to credit you for past withholdings; these are paid to the IRS directly as a payment towards your U.S. Federal taxes. The amount will be reflected in the Form 1099 or 1042 that will be sent to you in the first quarter of next year. If you're not subject to U.S. Federal taxes, please contact the IRS directly to receive a refund.
